Weston Downs – Community

Residents in the Weston Downs community have raised concerns throughout the years about high volumes of local traffic on roads in the area. In response, the City of Vaughan, in partnership with the Regional Municipality of York, is undertaking a comprehensive traffic study in the Weston Downs community. The study will investigate traffic issues in the area and identify, evaluate and recommend a strategy to address them. The study is now underway and there are opportunities for you to get involved.

Three public information sessions will be held to gain an understanding of the traffic issues from your perspective. At the first meeting we’ll hear your ideas and possible solutions, at the second meeting we’ll review the results of the traffic analysis and at the third meeting the final recommendations and plan of action will be presented.

Here is how you can get involved and stay informed:

  • Bookmark vaughan.ca/westondownstraffic for study updates and session information
  • Email your comments, questions, ideas and feedback to accessvaughan@vaughan.ca
  • Speak with a citizen service representative about the public information sessions by calling Access Vaughan at 905-832-2281
The study area is bounded roughly by Rutherford Road to the north, Weston Road to the east, Langstaff Road to the south and Pine Valley Drive to the west. Hatch Mott MacDonald, an engineering consulting firm, was retained to complete the study.
